The definitive collection of greatness if you ask me

Chuck Berry is one of the founding fathers of pure rock if ask me. Musically he was obviously gifted, but the way he could get you off your feet, the pull he had with just his voice, or his tune. That seems like some sort of sorcery to me.

With crazy song titles like "Reelin' and Rockin'" and "My Ding-A-Ling", just looking at the album, it was hard to take it seriously. But after listening to it however, I simply could not get enough! (My Ding-A-Ling being my favorite song!) Berry performed and collaborated with a lot of different artists, as most greats do. Some of them being: John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen, and even a tad with Elvis Presley!

Now, my tastes don't usually lean toward classic anything. I'm a faithful follower of the 21st century, their music included. But listening to this genius, I was stunned to the point I wanted to look up more classic artists. Just to feel things out. I was surprised, I liked a lot, but nothing was as good or as special as Chuck Berry was to me. The Definitive Collection was so great a record, Chuck Berry being such a great artist, and the album being such a great, wonderful, worth while buy! And with so many more songs than albums these days, don't miss out!

The rhythms and melodies of Chuck Berry will surely be a great chic for any occasion of your choosing. From the soothing melody of "Time Was[Slow Version]" to the amazing bop of "You Can Never Tell" you can't and won't go wrong with Chuck Berry.

Stevie Wonder is another important character in 50's music, in my opinion. His songs were genuine and true and straight from the heart. My favorite being 'Isn't She Lovely' reminds me of my early childhood, sitting in the car after church outside of my grandmother's house. Primping so we'd look perfect for her. The song probably only played once or twice during our times in the car, but there's something about the melody that brings me back to that memory every time.

The sixties were the best years in the UK from virtually every point of view but especially music. Nice lens, thanks

Chuck Berry is awesome! Brings back memories. My grandson, age 20, loves rock n roll music and plays the guitar and sings. He's been greatly influenced by Chuck Berry music and does a great Johnny B Goode cover... which is one of my favorites. No Particular Place to Go is another. Great lens. :)

As Bob Seger once sang, "All of Chuck's children are out there playing his licks." Hail, hail rock and roll -- and the Father of Rock and Roll. Thanks for the review!!
